Greetings, and welcome to my photo galleries. During our travels and local hikes, I nearly always have a camera with me, and it helps me see and appreciate the natural beauty of the areas through which I am passing. Taking these photos gives me a richer experience of places, bringing attention to details I would have missed and bringing me an expanded perspective on the areas through which I am walking. It is a privilege to share these photos with you, and I hope you are able to make a connection with some of them.
In the galleries you will find the photos that I like most from each of our hikes. I apologize in advance for the number of photos in some of the galleries, but eventually I hope to create a set of more focused galleries, perhaps built around themes. For the moment, you might think of the galleries as a chance to come along with us on hikes through some amazing natural areas and enjoy the scenes that called out as we were walking the trails.
I try to include with each of the galleries a narrative that provides some information about our trips or hikes and shares some of our experiences and observations from the trail. Some galleries still don’t have narratives (coming as time permits), but most of them have a description that I hope you find both interesting and useful. If you have time to read the narratives, they will provide context for the photos you view.
I suggest using the slideshow feature to view each gallery. This provides the best viewing experience on most platforms. Note that I created the website on a desktop PC, and although my hosting service automatically formats the site for viewing on mobile devices, the experience on an iPad or phone might not always be optimal.
Enjoy the slideshows, and I'll try to keep adding galleries from other travels as time permits. We appreciate your interest in our photos from hikes in these amazing settings.
